Floating Village @ Tonle Sap, Siem Reap, Cambodia

We visited the floating lake village of Siem Reap and had a personal travel experience like no other. It was amazing and disheartening, yet cynically content to see hundreds of thousands of families living off the lake, with children content in their little worlds, unaware of the bliss and misery of their living conditions. We donated food to the children at the floating orphanage that is also a school for the orphans, and received a welcoming tour and  history lesson of the village from the headmaster. Five provinces circled the area of Tonle Sap Lake, more than three million of population inhabited around the bank of the Lake and 90% of them earn a living by catching fish and making agricultures.
