The Eiffel Tower, Paris, France – UNESCO Site

Ahhhh, Paris…. Our most favorite of all cities. There are no aqua marine seas, no 90 degrees tropical weather, no reefs. But what it has lends its own appeal to Paris – the legendary Muse du Louvre, the Arc De Triomphe, the banks of the River Seine, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, Palais de l’lnstitut, Les Invalides, Place de la Concorde, École Militaire, La Monnaie, Grand Palais des Champs Elysées,  Palais de Chaillot, the cafes, and the shopping.

Paris has its own charm; its own history; its own blend of old meets new; its own metropolitan life. The Eiffel Tower, Gustave Eiffel’s bare iron icon amongst other Wonders of the World, stands as tall and formidable now as when first it was built. Every time we visit Paris we take a trip up the Tower and find something new to be amazed at.

We fell in love with Botticelli’s Venus De Milo and Aphrodite @ the Louvre. We have sat for HOURS at many cafes simply enjoying the best cappuccinos, soaking in the bustling, leisure metropolis that is Paris.

A favorite memory was meeting a German bartender who barely spoke English while I spoke no Deutsch, yet we managed an hour-long conversation in French and Italian.

Our fave moment? Sitting on the grass under the Eiffel, watching the light show @ night and listening to Bob Marley on our laptop, while having Italian wine, French cheese, and Cuban cigars.
