Guanacaste, Costa Rica – UNESCO Site

We went to Guanacaste, Costa Rica last year and had an eco-tourism blast. I only had the pleasure of enjoying the Occidental Grand Papagayo Resort, poolside margaritas and WiFi, while Casey traipsed off to explore the wilderness of the Talamanca/La Amistad National Park and the Conservation Areas of Guanacaste.   Before heading into the rainforest, Casey witnessed a live volcanic eruption: the Arenal Volcano. The natural beauty of Costa Rica is incredible: we probably took over 900 pictures of JUST the landscape.

We saw iguanas, crabs, beetles, even anteaters.

We also received an unexpected guest several nights: a raccoon!

And yes, a girl being used as a human surfboard!
