Montego Bay, Jamaica

We landed on the island of Montego Bay and headed to the bar and beach.  First stop was Margaritaville.  We were drenched in the tequila shots game.  Every person at the bar had to take part in the game.  You sit in the middle of the bar and the bartender literally throws a bottle of tequila down your throat.  Well, not a WHOLE bottle, but as much as you can gulp down from the bottle, while you sit in a chair with your hands down @ your side and you can’t touch the bottle or the bartender.  Kind of being tied down but with tequila in your mouth.

We listened to some Rastafarians playing the immortal Bob Marley and soaked in the Caribbean sun on the white sand beaches of Montego Bay, Jamaica. Shankar had a group of 4 men sing to us while lounging on the beach, soaking in the sun with margaritas in our hands.  They were playing OUR songs, from the famous Bob Marley album. It was such a relaxing and romantic site to behold.  We didn’t want to leave, but we had to, as we were pressed for time for further exploration of the island.Yeah, Mon!

Of course, the requisite shots and rum ‘n’ coke at the world-famous (very touristy!) Margaritaville.
