The Beagle Channel @ Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego, Patagonia, Argentina

Penguins! Cormorants! Antarctic Sea Lions! Birds! Named after Charles Darwin’s famous Beagle, this is a channel between the small islands in the southernmost part of the world, Fin Del Mundo, (the End of the World in Spanish). It is part of Patagonia and the Tierra Del Fuego archipelago between Chile and Argentina. The Chilean Andes rise up on the western side, with the Atlantic Ocean to the East and Antarctica to the south. This is the literally the End of the World, (Ushuaia is the southernmost city) with a train to prove it (El Tren Del Fin Del Mundo) and the “Last Lighthouse in the World,” Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse.
